Dry eye disease is a condition that affects the tear film, the three layers of tears that cover and protect the surface of your eyes. It occurs when your eyes don't make enough tears or when your tears evaporate too quickly, leading to uncomfortable symptoms like burning, itching, watering, or blurred vision. There are several factors that can prevent your tear film from working as it should and lead to dry eye, including hormonal changes, environmental factors, and certain medications.

What We
Offer

01

Optilight IPL

OptiLight works by reducing inflammation, improving tear break-up time, decreasing osmolarity, and restoring meibomian gland functionality. The treatment is non-invasive and is done in the area below the eyes. It is the first and only IPL device that is FDA-approved for dry eye management. A course of treatment typically includes four 10-15 minute sessions.

03

BlephEx

BlephEx is a painless in-office procedure that is used to treat meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD) and blepharitis. It involves using a small medical device to exfoliate your eyelids by removing debris and bacteria buildup. The device gently rotates a medical-grade sponge along the eyelid margin to remove scurf and debris and exfoliate the eyelids.

05

Amniograft Membrane

Amniotic membranes are newly engineered treatment options for difficult cases of dry eye disease. The amniotic membrane is placed directly on the front of the eye and provides a nourishing and protective barrier to help facilitate corneal health and can also provide rejuvenating stem cell contributions to the cornea. Once placed, it will dissolve on its own over time.

02

iLux

iLux is a therapy that uses heat and moderate pressure on the eyelids to stimulate the meibomian glands and clear blockages. The therapeutic heat is administered for a brief length of time at a temperature that is safe for the eyelids.  The gadget is positioned against the eyelids and works by using light-based heat and compression to clear the meibomian glands. This is a non-invasive procedure.

04

ZEST

ZEST is an acronym that stands for Zocular Eyelid Scrub Technique. It is an innovative treatment for dry eye disease that involves killing Demodex mites, removing dirt and debris, and relieving inflammation.

06

Lacrimal Plugs

Punctal plugs are tiny devices that are placed in the eye's tear ducts (called puncta) to help manage dry eye disease. Puncta are the tiny openings in your eyelids that drain tears from your eyes. The plug is about the size of a grain of rice, and it blocks tears from draining from the eye. This helps keep the eye's surface moist and comfortable, relieving itchy, burning, and red eyes.

I just had to share my experience with the dry eye treatment and it's been a game-changer for me! I used to suffer from constant itch and blurred vision, but after few treatments with Dr Zamora I feel normal again.
